Obama is White Too!

I hate categorizing people but I have to say this. Obama is not just black, he is also white! His mother was white, his father was black. That does not make him all black.

Its as if all that mattered was that he is black. I don’t think I’ve heard yet “Barack Obama is the president elect of the United States” its always “Barack Obama is the first black president of the United States.

I will tell you something; race is bullshit. I come from Somalia 13 years ago and now live in Vermont. Vermont is supposedly the “whitest” state in the Union. And being a minority I know that when people stop looking at me, the color of our skin is never a subject. But if we keep suggesting “oh he’s the first black president”, it doesn’t really matter if hes black or not, he got elected that is amazing enough.People should be judge by the content of their character, not by the color of their skin.

If race issues is going to be iradicated then we have to stop talk like it matters so much. I know that to some people it does matter, but to those people I say “Get over yourself”. The more we act like is a big issue the bigger the issue it is. Its a kind of mind over matter thing. In his concessional speach john McCain said “This is an historic election, and I recognize the special significance it has for African-Americans and for the special pride that must be theirs tonight”. Basically it seemed like he was saying that Obama won larely because he is black. Anyway, this is all bullshit and I am gonna leave it at that.
